Anne Hebebrand, Art Instructor

Anne Hebebrand is an engaged teacher as well as accomplished artist and fosters an environment, where students can develop new skills and their path as a creative person: she  is knowledgeable in standards based curriculum, collaboratively working with classroom teachers and community partners. Anne was named the Connecticut Art Education Association's Outstanding Secondary Arts Educator in 2012.

She has taught at Albertus Magnus College, Manchester Community College, at Great Path Academy and in a variety of museums, including the Wadsworth Museum of Art in Hartford, CT, the Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, AL and the Gertude Herbert Institute of Art, Augusta, Georgia. In the past Anne has been a master teaching artist with the Bushnell Performing Arts Center, The CT Commission on the Arts and the Georgia Council for the Arts. In the winter months, Anne currently teaches classes and workshops in Todos Santos, Baja California. She is a new resident to Bath and looks forward to teaching in her new home.

Elise Jablow, Music Instrutor

Elise Jablow is based in New York City, where she is an active performer and head music teacher at Aaron School, a premier school for children with special needs. She recently received her Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University where she is employed a private voice instructor. Elise is also on faculty as a yoga teacher at Sparkidz, a Saturday program for children with special needs. She has taught percussion and ukulele to young children and their parents at Columbia’s Music Explorers program and strings to very young audiences with the New York Philharmonic’s Concerts for Very Young People. Elise has worked with vocalists at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts and with the Every Voices Choir.  She holds degrees in classical voice performance from McGill University and the Manhattan School of Music. A New York Times praised soprano, she has performed with organizations such as the Bel Cantanti Opera, Composer’s Collective, Annapolis Opera, Underworld Productions Opera, American Opera Projects, Vermont Philharmonic, and the Brevard Music Center. Elise believes that the arts education can make us all a little more compassionate and creative!

P.S. Anne and Elise are mother and daughter! They have been a team for years, feeding off of each other’s energy at Anne’s art shows and Elise’s recitals.
